Singapore film makers are making their mark both on home ground and at international film festivals, breaking box office records in Singapore as well as winning accolades at Cannes and the Golden Horse Awards. This first ever Singapore Film Festival in Kuala Lumpur celebrates their coming of age and features breakthrough and award-winning works by established directors like Eric Khoo and Jack Neo to a younger generation of filmmakers like Anthony Chen, Liao Jie Kai and Royston Tan. The festival will open with 7 Letters, an omnibus of seven short films especially commissioned for Singapore’s jubilee year in 2015.
