Rodents are a type of mammals of the order Rodentia. They are worldwide distributed except for Antarctica. The species of rodents such as Norway rats, roof rats and house mouse are the pests for human.
House mouse (Mus musculus)

Morphology & Habitat
House mouse is a small mammal of the order Rodentia. Their body length is about 8.5cm while their body weight is at the average of 45g. They are vary in colour from light to dark brown. The tails of house mice are same length or shorter than bodies and heads. Their dropping size are smaller than roof rats and pointed at both dropping ends.
Behavior
Normally house mice build their nests at the grassy and wooden area. Just like roof rats, their droppings are pointed ends so that they can prevent water loss from their bodies.
Roof rat (Rattus rattus)

Morphology & Habitat
Roof rat also known as black rat. They are dark brown or black in colour and their body length and body size are slightly smaller than Norway rat. Roof rats live on the roof area and agriculture area. The tails of roof rats are longer than bodies and heads. Their dropping size are smaller and pointed at both dropping ends.
Behavior
Just like Norway rats, roof rats are nocturnal mammals too. Roof rats build their nests above the ground level such as on the roof and on the tree. Because of their habitat, they hard search for water source. That’s why their droppings are dry and pointed ends in order to retain the water in their bodies.
Norway rat (Rattus norvegicus) Morphology & Habitat

Norway rat is one of the largest rats in the family Muridae. They are reddish brown or grey in colour and their body length is about 25cm long. The average of body weight is 300 – 400gram and some of them can exceed 500gram. They can easily found in sewer area, drainage and kitchen area. The tails of Norway rats are shorter than bodies and heads. Their dropping size are bigger and blunted at both dropping ends.
Behavior
Norway rat is a nocturnal mammals. They carry out their life processes in the night time. Norway rats build their nests with few tunnels underground. This behavior make them easily flee away from danger. Besides that, they are good swimmers too!

Risks, Economic and Medical Importance
Rodents such as Norway rats. Roof rats and house mice are vectors for many kind of diseases such as Weil's disease, rat bite fever and leptospirosis. Besides that, rodents can cause structural damage by gnawing. They need to sharpen their incisors consistently so that they don’t hurt themselves. Rodents also contaminate stored food too.

Talon is a single feed 2nd generation anticoagulant rodenticide containing the active ingredient brodifacoum. It is avaible in an easy-to-use bait formulation which is both attractive and palatable. It can control Rattus norvegicus, Rattus rattus, Rattus exulans and Mus musculus.
Apply between 5-50 grams of Talon bait per baiting station based on the level of infestation and the area where the station is placed (please refer to label recommendations).
