The MOONPHOS precision gas detector consist of two parts viz. i) the gas detector tubes and ii) air sampling pump is used to draw a precisely defined volume of sample air through the detector tube for determining the impurity gas concentrations in the air sample. This manual describes the air sampling pump and its operation for impurity gas measurement using detector tubes.

MOONPHOS PERSONAL PHOSPHINE MONITORS

FUMIGATION DOSIMETER
For ensuring adequate fumigation, it becomes necessary to monitor the Phosphine concentration during the entire period of furnigation for knowing the Phosphine does in ppm per hour. This involves many measurements. An alternate approach is, to use a dosimeter tube to determine the total dose at the end of the furnigation by the stain length, obtained on the tube. The furnigation dosimeter tube is just suitable for this purpose. The stain length on the tube reads the time taken to develop that length of stain, when exposed continuously to 1000ppm of Phosphine

For entering a grain godown where furnigation is in progress in grain stacks, it is essential to ensure that Phosphine level araound the stacks is within acceptable limits, to meet the safety standards. Phosphine indicator strips do this job. It is the easiest means of detecting Phosphine is suspected areas.
They are paper strips imregnated with Phosphine-sensitive chemicals by a special process. They detect Phosphine by their change of colour.
